"It's hard to pay much attention to hateful people who make up lies
for their own purposes, when there is so much good to do in the world, and so little time we get in a lifetime." -mike peters, Indianapolis, IN

Welcome Dear Reader.

If you have found this web page it is because you have likely typed in the name "Mike Peters" into a search engine. This is regarding the Michael H Peters who lives in Indianapolis, Indiana USA. This page has been created by the church here in Indianapolis, of which Mike Peters is a part. Our main website is www.allatHisfeet.com. Please know that it is with great sorrow that we have even felt the need to publish this page on the Internet.

We are a New Testament church who longs to serve and exalt Jesus only as the true Head of the Church. As our Lord said, "You are all brothers." (Matthew 23:8), and as John the Baptist said, "He must become greater; I must become less" (John 3:30).

We have no desire to promote ourselves in any way, nor any individuals among us, nor do we have clergy of any kind who rule over the church here. Rather, as free men and women of God, we freely offer the gifts Jesus has placed in each of us to each other (Matthew 10:8, 1 Corinthians 12-14, and many others).

However, as it was with Jesus, and as He promised, (John 13:15-17, John 15:19-21) people who hate the Truth and Jesus Himself (though they may honor him with their lips, they do not obey Him, which Jesus said would be the proof of love, John 14:15) have been persecuting, lying about, and trying to harm the church here and one brother in particular by the name of Mike Peters.

Therefore, we come to the reason for this site.

As you may know, if you are familiar with the Internet at all, libel and defamation laws in the United States have not kept pace with technology. Much of the Internet, unfortunately, is a lawless place...much like the "Wild West" in America in the 1800's. People do, and view, and say things online that would be completely illegal if they were done in other areas of life. And the anonymity of the Internet allows people hiding behind pseudonyms to say whatever they please with impunity.

A handful of people with impure motives have made it their goal to attack the church here, and Mike Peters in particular, in various Internet chat rooms, websites and the like. Since they have chosen to do this, and because everything they are saying about the church here is completely false, we felt we had three choices:

1. We could do nothing. In fact, we have done nothing for much of the past two years since this online defamation began. We don't care about our reputations and have nothing to prove, and we do not collect money or sell anything to anyone (2 Cor. 2:17), so we really can't be "harmed" in any way by these people. However, doing nothing, in some people's minds, appears to be an admission of guilt. And for those, perhaps like you who are reading this now, it didn't seem fair to give such an impression.

2. We could sue those responsible for defamation of character and libel. We have been in contact with attorneys who have assured us that despite the lax standards of the Internet we have a legitimate case for defamation. Recent high-profile cases of "cyber-bullying" have brought the kind of online attacks we have faced to the forefront of public awareness, and people are beginning to understand that we cannot continue to function as a free society if we allow individuals to do what has been done to us. Two prominent Chicago libel and defamation lawyers would like to litigate this immediately, since precedent indicates that the recent hate-crime actions of this small handful of criminal and immoral malcontents, disfellowshipped over the last 22 years, are easily prosecutable for many millions of dollars. The stalkers are constantly changing names on the internet and attempting to hide their identities so they can pretend they are "many" but they don't realize that their ISP's are legally required to hand over their identities (which are already known in most cases) as soon as litigation is filed. They will no longer be able to hide under their transparent paper bags, and their homes and assets will all be available to remedy their crimes. These are not christians, clearly, because they have no respect for the Blood of Christ on those whom they stalk, lie about, and persecute out of jealousy and revenge for being disfellowshipped, sometimes multiple times. Therefore, Romans 13 is clear that the government punishing them for their constitutional, criminal, and civil crimes is Biblically sound. At this point, mercy for the children of those evil parents keeps us from allowing the government and representatives of the Law to pursue these criminals. Two of the perpetrators have already been threatened with legal action by a man in Pennsylvania whom they had previously stalked, slandered, libeled and defamed. They removed their evil attacks from the internet upon the threat. Therefore, they are keenly aware that their obsessive hobby of attacking christians who have Life they don't have is illegal and immoral, obviously. Others have criminal and public records of abuses of various kinds, and their jobs and homes would be in great jeopardy if they were to be publicly litigated for their crimes. We will see what is necessary and appropriate. But, both the Law and Morality are held in contempt by these slanderers. We will see.

3. We can quietly tell our side of the story and let you decide. For now, this seems like the best course of action to take.

It is not our desire to personally expose and humiliate the people who have been slandering us online, but we do want you to know a few facts about them (even though we will not expose them by name at this point in time, even though the apostle Paul clearly felt at liberty to "name names" when it came to such matters):

One of the main attackers of the church here lived in Indianapolis for many years, along with his wife and children. He was disfellowshipped by the church after many, many years of our loving him and trying to help him, and he subsequently moved to another state. Before long, he divorced his wife for a woman he met at a Cracker Barrel restaurant and abandoned his six children (making him worse than an unbeliever, 1 Timothy 5:8). After kicking his family out on the street (after they had already had a stint in a women's abuse shelter) he is now over $20,000 in arrears in child support payments. His wife and children are now living with the church here in Indianapolis because they literally had nowhere else to go.

Not surprisingly, this man now has a lot of negative things to say about the church here, though he 1) desired to live here for 18 years and took tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of help, then 2) after he was disfellowshipped, he asked for his family to live here after he moved out of state - but he was declined because he was told he needed to learn how to provide for and love his family, not continue to abuse them, and, 3) he cancelled their lease and kicked his wife and 6 children out on the street (after the police had escorted them to an abuse shelter to protect them from his rage and abuse), and then told his wife and children to move to indianapolis to be with the church, while he moved in with another woman. "I'm only 44." He hardened his heart, dove headlong into sin, and is now calling us a "cult" because we've told him he is wrong for abandoning his wife and children.Instead of getting on with his life after being disfellowshipped, he's spent hundreds of dollars and hours he's owed in court-ordered childsupport on stalking family members of the church, trying to harm relationships, even between christians and non-christian family members, by slandering and lying maliciously, and spewing hatred and persecution all over the internet instead of getting a job, so as not be the legally convicted "deadbeat" that he is.

Another man attacking us lived among us for about 5 weeks. He had been institutionalized for mental illness before we met him, and we were attempting to help him move on past this as well as his sinful addictions to prostitutes and such. He soon moved away because we would not recognize him as a "prophet" and a "leader" after the short time he was among us, and because of his ongoing problems with the sins that he was enslaved to. In spite of the fact that this occurred over 15 years ago and we have left him completely alone, and even wished him the best, he still has a vendetta against the church here, apparently because of his wounded pride.

Another one of our accusers was arrested for narcotics and other serious violations of the law.

Another was recently incarcerated for alcohol abuse.

A couple of the folks actively lying about us online have literally no first-hand knowledge of the church here, but fancy themselves to be amateur "cult busters" and "defenders of the faith" and have apparently taken up attacking us as a hobby to stroke their own egos, or otherwise make themselves feel good about themselves.

And so on.

Below you will find a link to the testimonies of some people who are part of the church here in Indianapolis, or who live elsewhere and have known Mike Peters for many years. We hope this helps you in your desire to know the truth about the church here and about Mike Peters, a dear brother and friend of the people responsible for putting up this site. We cannot stand by and allow his name to be dragged through the mud without, at least, making the truth about him available to you.

Grace and Peace to all who love Him with an everlasting love,

The church here in Indianapolis
